Tied in with the excellent way Android ties in with the google suite of tools I can only see Google+ going from strength to strength. Google+ offers some exciting features over the competition and I think I will be using it more and more, hopefully without much of an impact on Twitter or Facebook!

Regarding the Google+ iPhone App, it really is a great advertisement for how to create a social network app on a mobile device. We all know that the Facebook app on iPhone (and Android’s not much better) is a fairly basic web wrapper app that seems unstable and fairly horrid to use, google has shown the way forward, it’s got some great design and works really well. I look forward to the Android version on my Galaxy Note sometime soon I hope.

Walking through London on the way home today there was a buzz of excitement, everyone seemed to be having a good time. I did see a number of Chelsea and Bayern Munich shirts owing to the Champions league final this evening with both sets of fans in good spirits and this seemed to add to the feelings.

Also the Jubilee celebrations will add to the occasion, love or loath the Royal family there’s no doubt that they are huge crowd and tourist pleaser. Out of touch but in reach is a hard thing to do but I like to think the Royals add more to the British life than people give them credit for.

Let’s not forget the Euro championships, us Englanders do enjoy a good a football tournament, no matter how short it lasts for us!!

Overall, I think it’s going to be a great year to be British!

Facebook launched on the stock exchange today and had a rocky 1st days trading, infact it’s price was actually propped up by Facebook own underwriters when it looked to be heading lower than its $38.00 opening price. I have no idea if it’s a good investment or not, but I do think it’s a larger risk than many are imagining… Im still old enough to remember My Space… now where is that?

Curse you Virgin Media!

A broken Internet means I was unable to blog this evening, probably for the best as I’d had a few beers! :)

Happy to say it was back within 12 hours without having to call the helpdesk.

Thanks for your England efforts over the years Rio, hope you enjoy the summer off.

So many ex Villa midfielders in the England squad…. again…. hopefully we might be able to keep hold of that sort of quality in the future!
