How many ‘dry’ nights do you have a week?
When I say dry, I mean a complete abstention from drinking alcohol? With the government now recommending that everyone should have at least 2 days a week without drinking I decided to take a look at my own consumption and realised that whilst I don’t drink to excess, I do seem to consume a glass (or 2) of wine or beer almost every night. Once a month or so I may push the boat out a little more and have a few more at the local with friends, but Im not a weekend binge drinker thankfully. Light weight drinker is the best description for me I think!
However its all too easy for me to come home from work and reach for a Guinness to quench my thirst and get that nice warm feeling, that nice buzz… its amazing that if alcohol was ‘discovered’ today Im pretty sure it will be outlawed like a class A drug!
Anyway, Monday will be a dry night for now…. not sure when the other day will be the week, how about you? Drinking tonight?
